Hispanics in Philanthrophy’s Report: Taking a Pulse – Latinx Health Equity in California

Despite decades of government and community efforts to improve health equity in Latinx communities in California, vast disparities remain. For one, Latinxs are the group least likely to be insured or to have a doctor.

HIP's new report, Taking a Pulse, produced in partnership with the University of California - San Francisco, explores the key health equity issues affecting the Latinx community in CA, including:

  • The social determinants of health
  • Immigration
  • Access to services
  • Mental health
  • Sexual and reproductive health
  • And more

It also outlines specific strategies for funders to make progress based on recommendations from the community-based organizations that are on the front lines.
