Save your vocal cords for GBLN’s Parranda Pa’ Bridgeport

Our annual Parranda Pa' Bridgeport is coming up fast! Please mark your calendars for Tuesday, Dec. 18.

What's a Parranda? Here's how it works:

First, starting at noon, we will make music on our Parranda trail, bringing song and good cheer at several stops. Our chorus will bring the holiday spirit with Latino songs using traditional instruments and singing Christmas carols from the Caribbean and Latin America.

It will culminate with a happy hour for the public. Appetizers from El Coquito, a cash and live music at the Acoustic Cafe in Black Rock, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Entry is $10.

Note: We need 12 to 15 strong-throated singers to join us! We ask you commit to at least three hours of the trail (and you're welcome to join the entire route) and to attend a one-hour Saturday rehearsal yet to be scheduled. Everything happens in Bridgeport proper.

If you're interested, please call 203-864-3779 and leave a message for GBLN President Carolyn Gonzalez. Since we don't have staff to monitor our Facebook page, please don't leave messages there.
