Saludos Amigos - Greetings!
For the last 17 years, the Greater Bridgeport Latino Network (GBLN) is proud to have been "Presente!" as a volunteer-led grassroots Latino organization. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we had to cancel our annual Sunset Cruise on the Port Jefferson Ferry - our single largest fundraising event.
We know that because of the pandemic many nonprofit organizations are asking for support and donor fatigue is real and setting in. Speaking Latino to Latino, Bridgeporter to Bridgeporter, we are asking for your financial support today, so that as an organization, we can keep engaging our community.
You are receiving this because you've supported us by attending the cruise or another GBLN event in the past year and we are writing with a special request. Will you consider making a donation to GBLN today?
This appeal is directed to you "nuestra gente" - our friends to ask you personally to say "Presente!" and make a financial contribution to close the funding gap we are experiencing and help us to reach our goal by August 29th. Any amount helps. We need you - Te Necesitamos!

● Keep the mission alive: To promote community engagement to address the socio-economic issues affecting Latinos through networking, communication, collaboration, and education.
● Continue Civic Engagement Youth Program which began at the high school level 10 years ago and continues to be offered to the students to this day at Cesar A. Batalla School to 7th & 8th grade students
● Mobilize our Get Out the Vote Campaign to inform the community of the importance of voting and collaborating with other organizations to educate on the issues through debates, materials, social media, forums.
