Fight Budget Cuts That Put CT Seniors at Risk

Governor Malloy’s budget erodes the programs, from prescription drugs to nutrition programs, home health care and more, which make it possible for seniors to afford to stay at home and avoid more costly institutional care.

It also adds financial strain for family caregivers, who are spending an average of nearly 20 percent of their income providing care for a family member or other loved one, according to an AARP Research Report.

Please ask legislators to reject cuts to the CT Home Care Program for Elders that will limit health care and services seniors need to live independently at home.

Take Action Today!

Tell your Senator to REJECT the Governor’s cap on the CT Home Care Program for Elders.

The Governor’s plan will cut access to home care, visiting nurses, adult day care, meals on wheels and other community supports for future seniors in need.
