The Farmers Markets 101 workshop will be facilitated by Aaron Taylor & Rachel Berg of Four Root Farm in East Haddam, CT.
Four Root Farm is a Certified Organic Vegetable and Cut Flower farm in East Haddam owned equally by its four founders / owners. Direct sales at Farmers' Markets account for 80% - 90% of the farm's gross sales.
This workshop will try to help new and aspiring farmers decide if Farmers' Markets are right for them and, if so, how to get the most out of those markets. We will talk about how to find and choose markets, how to apply to them, what makes a great display, and more.
