Did you know that 2019 is an election year in Bridgeport? All 20 seats on City Council - 2 seats per 10 voting districts - are up for re-election!
Bridgeport Generation Now is committed to increasing civic engagement in our city! As part of that work, they educate people on where candidates stand on public policy issues that impact our collective lives and Bridgeport's livability. This year, they have partnered with over 10 non-profit, community-based organizations to plan and host a citywide, nonpartisan City Council Candidate Forum.
The forum will be held on Wednesday, September 4th at the Klein Memorial Auditorium, 910 Fairfield Avenue. Doors will open at 5:00pm, the forum will start at 6:00pm. Check-in for the event opens at 5:00pm!
Held at the historic Klein Auditorium, this forum will set the stage for a dynamic discussion about city-wide issues. It is also an opportunity to educate residents and voters and hold candidates accountable to policies & ideas.Moderated and formatted by Bridgeport Generation Now and event partners, it will be a fun, safe, and collaborative space!
