Encore!Fairfield County is co-led by Scott Wilderman, President and CEO of Fairfield County’s Career Resources, Inc., one of the nation’s leading workforce development organizations and Bob Francis, Executive Director of RYASAP, a nationally recognized youth and community leadership development coalition serving Greater Bridgeport.
Become a 2017 Encore!Fairfield County Fellowship Host
Encore!Fairfield County Fellows will be matched for a two-month, 30-hour per week fellowship with a Fairfield County nonprofit. Encore!Fairfield County Fellowship matches, through an interview process, are based on the skills and career goals of the Encore!Fairfield County Fellow and the specific strategic needs of each nonprofit. Encore!Fairfield County is part of a larger state and national Encore Movement, which seeks to engage seasoned talent in the work of the nonprofit sector. They are pleased to work with you and our national partner Encore.org which has developed Encore Talent Works, a resource designed for nonprofit hiring and volunteer managers on effective means for employing and engaging encore talent, along with their national friends of Encore Network working locally to engage encore talent in solving social problems.
AARP Connecticut – a strong partner for Encore!Hartford – will again provide support for Encore!Fairfield County, which includes $10,000 for partial or full scholarships for accepted members of the 2017 class, which begins November 1. Applicant review is based on the purposeful career direction of the applicant, transferable experience to benefit the nonprofit field and financial need. Scholarships are not constrained by age, although added consideration will be given to individuals 50 years of age and older.
