GCTYO Principal Orchestra with The Villaloba Brothers at The Klein
GCTYO Principal Orchestra will be performing with The Villalobos Brothers, a Grammy award winning violinist trio originally from Mexico, at our Nov. 19 concert. They also sing and compose. One of the brothers is writing a new piece about immigration that will be premiered by GCTYO, along with the INTEMPO Children’s Choir, who will sing lyrics in Spanish. The Brothers are extremely dynamic and entertaining, and it should be a really fun concert.
Here is a bit of bio: About Villalobos Brothers: The Villalobos Brothers are a Grammy-winning Mexican-American family band consisting of Ernesto Villalobos, Alberto Villalobos, and Luis Villalobos. They are recognized as one of the foremost Contemporary Mexican ensembles in the world, combining Mexican folk, jazz, and classical music. The band has performed on prestigious stages globally and collaborated with renowned musicians, including Bruce Springsteen and Dolly Parton.
