Greater Bridgeport Symphony Celebrates Latin American, Spanish, And Puerto Rican Rhythms

The Greater Bridgeport Symphony is proud to present a program of Latin-American and Spanish music at the historic Klein Memorial Auditorium on Saturday October 28.

The program features Puerto Rican composer Roberto Sierra’s Tumbao from Sinfonia No. 3 – “La Salsa,” Two Dances from Argentinian composer Alberto Ginastera’s ballet Estancia, Pablo Casals’ O Cant dels Ocels, and Manuel de Falla’s El Sombrero de Tres Picos. A highlight of the evening will be a thrilling guitar solo by Benjamin Verdery on Joaquin Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez, composed at the end of the Spanish Civil War. Tickets range from $15 to $59, with special discounts for students and families. With the Family Pack Deal, a family of five can come to the concert for only $55.50 (ticketing charges may apply).
