The Center for Puerto Rican Studies at Hunter College, CUNY invites you to participate in the third annual Action Fair at the Puerto Rico, Puerto Ricans Diaspora Summit 2019: Rebuild Puerto Rico, "Two years after Maria: Challenges and Opportunities."
The summit will be held Friday September 20 and Saturday September 21, 2019 at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, CUNY in New York City.
The purpose of the summit is to convene a broad spectrum of the Puerto Rican community across the United States as we mark the second anniversary of hurricane Maria devastating Puerto Rico and as the island faces innumerable economic and political challenges. The Puerto Rico, Puerto Ricans Diaspora Summits series has served to convene Puerto Ricans in the United States as we engage each other in our work on behalf of the Island.
Twenty organizations will be selected to showcase their work at our Action Fair that will take place on Saturday September 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This fair is a diaspora networking and community-building event. Meet and greet community leaders from around the country and exchange ideas for affecting social change for our community. Participation is free.
Take advantage of the opportunity to showcase your work on behalf of Puerto Rico and the stateside Diaspora.
Complete the application by Friday September 13th.
