Getting through to the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles is a little easier these days.
A new technology, launched in May, gives customers the option to be called back at a time of their choosing.
Seventy-one percent of callers to the DMV have opted to use the new call-back feature. The agency receives about 2,700 calls per day, according to the Associated Press.
This is the first update to the DMV's telephone center since 1993. Callers were regularly left stranded, unable to reach an operator due to the system's limited capacity, the AP reported.
The center can be reached by calling 1-800-842-8222. It's open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
