University of Saint Joseph and Hartford Public Library present a free screening of Episode IV of the Latino Americans Film Series, The New Latinos (1946-1965).
Until World War II, Latino immigration to the United States was overwhelmingly Mexican-American. In the decades following the war, large waves of immigrants made their way to the American mainland from Puerto Rico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic.
The 60-minute film will be followed by a panel discussion and moderated by Dr. Nelly Rojas Schwan, Associate Professor of Social Work and Latino Community Practice, University of Saint Joseph.
